Daily Log for Sick Chams

Hi There :)

So when I first took Pennie to the vet, he asked me to keep a log of what she weighed morning and night, what she ate and whether or not she pooped and how it looked.

I call it the poop sheet.

I took in the filled poop sheet on sunday for the vet and she was really impressed and said how this would help her with other patients whose recoveries may take longer than usual.

I've uploaded a PDF version as the original I made is in excel and I can't upload it.

If anyone would like to use it and think it might help them, it definitely helped me!

I left a few lines in there of examples of how I filled it.. this isn't her exact log as far as the info goes.

That is a great idea! Thank you so much for sharing that! My husband keeps a similar care sheet for each of his snakes, and I started one the other day for Kush, but wasn't sure what all I should keep on it. This helps SO MUCH!! :D

I have similar one, I write down what I feed, what amount, supplements, weight and poops :) but my chams are not sick
I think it helps a lot, but you need to remember to write every day or you might forget the next day :)

Glad you guys think its helpful :)

mat3o - don't worry... I NEVER forget to fill it in... haha.. I'm a bit of an organisation freak when it comes to things like this! lol :p

And just how is Penelope doing? I haven't been back to look at the updates...??

PS: gonna 'steal' your poop log too!! :D

Oh you are more than welcome to steal my poop log!

Unfortunately, I had to put Penelope to sleep on Sunday night :(

Although she had begun to improve, she had developed pressure wounds on her hands and one of them had opened and severed the wrist joint. Instead of putting her through months of pain to get it to heal, I decided it would be best to let her go as she would not have been able to climb properly from it. She was already frustrated enough that she couldn't climb and I just couldn't let her go through that for months.

She know has a lovely resting place in the backyard :) x
