I want to install my Mist King. Is it worth cutting the cage to get the nozzles inside or is it just as good to use it spraying from above? I did get a wedge for the cage but obviously don't have to use it.
you don't need to cut a horrid hole! just get a x-point screwdriver and use the screen top wedge as a guide and with a circular motion you ca form a hole for the nozzel!
I don't see the big harm in cutting a small hole in the cage? I mean, you'll always use the cage with the nozzle installed. and the price of a used cage doesn't drop much just because there is a hole cut in the top corner for a misting nozzle.
But yes, you can put the nozzle above the cage and spray down into the cage. You'll just need to make sure you don't get electricl stuff wet.
