Hey,

I have a custom cage and want to lock it or close it so that it creates a tight close. Anyone have any ideas on what to use and where I can get it from?

I toyed with eye screws and a hook but that may not work.

Pics would help if you made one. i like the way the reptibreeze closes and u put hte little lever down. Too bad the rest of the cage stinks and rusts.

i used 2 'roller catch latches' on my cage door. they work really well. i've attached a pic to be clear... i got them at wal-mart for a couple bucks.

in addition to those i put one locking latch for a lock or whatever, but i don't ever lock it. i just have a hook through it so our almost-two-year-old can't open it.

*EDIT* ---- a pic of your cage would help...

Nice.

Will a fit on a all screen cage? Or is that really just for wood?

It looks big.

My cage is all screen like a LLL cage but the dimension are just larger. 36x24x48 high

it's not very big; they are normally used for cabinets. you must have something to mount it to though. so, if you have an all mesh cage, you may not be able to use these...

Maybe just a small latch hook and some soft insulation foam around the inside of the door might fix your problem.
