Cup Feeding

I'm going to be moving my veiled into a screen cage soon and I am not sure if I should cup feed to let them roam free? He is only eating crickets at the moment, a meal worm every once in a while. I don't want crickets escaping all over my room but won't they just jump out of the cup anyway? I have no idea how cup feeding works but I've seen many cages with cups just mounted in there so any tips on it would be great :)

you could just put the cup with the crickets by him so he sees them, then he will shoot at them and eat them. If you have enough time you could also try feeding him with tweezers. I tried free roaming my crickets but it became such a hassle because they would hide in the organic dirt of my plant and eventually die. Also if the cup is deep enough they wont be able to jump out. There are many videos on youtube of cup feeding

The trick is to only put climbing material on the back of the cup. The crickets can't climb the smooth front part so they rarely escape. You will have one get loose here and there but that is no big deal. Most people use window screen to climb on for the bugs.

Just get a pint size plastic milk container and cut the front out with a hobby knife. Search "chameleon feeder" on YouTube for instructions ;)

Mt dew bottle! My girl was interested in it the moment Iput it in her cage! Going to need to take it down and redo the screen though. I let 3-4 roam free but the rest (I give her 10/day since she's still young) go in the feeder. She won't let them get far though when they free range. She seems liks she hasnt been feed in weeks but she gets fed everyday
