Ok so I've had my 4 1/2 old or so panther chameleon, and been free ranging her food since I got her in late in late febuary.but now she ever time I give her a batch of crickets they all fall to the bottom(where she never goes)and misses out on lunch. So,I decided to cup feed her today and she just looked at the crickets and walked away.Should I keep on trying to cup feed and hope she gets used to it?If anyone has another option let me know

thanx

I made this for both my cages. Seems to work pretty well for both my jackson and panther...

but if my panther sees im watching he wont eat sometimes. i have to hide around the corner and peak in to see him eat

I do a "controlled" free range feed for my oustalet since he wont cup feed and his cage is too large for him to free range, I just put the cricket on a brach near him and wait until he eats it, so its not in a cup but its not completely free range.

so what do you do?Feed them one by one? Also she still runs when I get too close and that would be just as bad as what I am doing now but yeah I'll give a try

I like this alot but don't know if have a half gallon a hand but definetly will be making one

My cham is also a panther roughly the same age as yours. ;)

I free range three to five crickets at a time. Generally they go up and towards the basking spot on the screen mesh and he picks them off. I will feed him two or three times a day this way. I check the cage before "lights out" to make sure there aren't too many left. I never leave more than one or two in the cage overnight.

My cham will let me hand or cup feed him phoenix worms, butterworms and hornworms too.

MEPOKEU thanks, that is a great idea! Quick, easy, inexpensive. ;)

2 liter bottles will also work well for that type of feeder cup. For best results, cut a hole in the bottom and insert screen to provide drainage. Feeders do not swim to well.;)
