Cruel but funny. (feeder related)

So its summer and the birds and bees are out, and lots of insects are plentiful, so i caught a peacock butterfly for my oustalet Titan, I put it in his cage and he didnt notice it, then it started slowly opening and closing its wings and he went after it and caught it oblivious to the world around him, then when he saw me watching i guess he got startled and just sat there with the butterfly in his mouth( i thought he missed and it flew away ) then a few seconds later I saw his gular area moving it was there just sitting in his mouth, so i walked away to let him eat it and he opens his mouth to chew revealing a whole butterfly crunched up in there lol. I thought it was funny and thought id share.

maybe it's just me, but my panther baby just does some of the most funny and goofy things you could think of.
sounds like your cham is alot like mine.

I wouldn't be suprised if your guy thought that you might want to share his catch with him, or maybe want to steal it from him...so he waited untill you left him alone before he relaxed and finished eating it.

they are funny sometimes, right?

yeah I was just thinking that Miss Lily, lol, and sometimes they make me laugh and i try to share it with my family or something and theyre just like..."oook?" lol only keepers can truly appreciate it.

I had my guy take a butterfly a few days ago. Caught it, chomped on it, but then, just seemed to sit there wondering what the hell to do with the two wings sitting either side of his mouth. I found it so amusing, as he just sat there with wings in his mouth. Needless to say, a little chomping later and they were gone, but it did make me chuckle!

My new parsonii is the complete opposite: When she saw a feed just a few meters away she fix it, then she sneak up and catch it

Thaxter's birthday hornworm spent several minutes half in and half out of Thax's mouth while Thax considered what to do next. I was very slightly more anxious than amused, primarily because I didn't want half a hornworm dropped on me (it was quite enough to be squirted with all the intestinal contents of said hornworm!).

haha thats happened to me before with silkworms, IN THE MOUTH! my veild bit in to it and guts shot out in my mouth! it tasted like rotten lettuce with salt lol.
