Hello All!! I'm not having much success with keeping crickets. They keep dying!! Like 50 a day. I had like a thousand. Any advice??

They need plenty of moisture and food and air flow.

Out of thousand crickets I'd lose at least a few hundred all together, but not 50 a day.

96 quart rubbermaid with a screen/mesh lid using a basking light a couple feet above to keep them at a little over romm temps. I use drink cartons and egg cartons. Feed and clean them every night usually. Feed them dry:quaker oats and fluker's farm high calcium feed. Wet:apples carrots potatoes and I use zilla water gel packets. I got a thousand eggs incubating.

use oranges instead of the pillows and they get vit c i lose verry few out f a box of 1000 in a month

I think I found out why. I ordered full adults and 3/4 inch crickets and adults can only live for a week or two I have had my crickets well over a week.:D

Yeah, old age gets them everytime. I order medium sized crickets, so they get tongue lashed and eaten live well before they ever make it to their golden years.
