How many and what size crickets should i feed a 4 month old female veiled chameleon.

It really depends on the chameleons size, age is irrelevant as they grow at extremely different rates.
You want your feeders to be no wider than the length of your chameleons mouth side to side. And you also do not want the feeder to be longer than it's head length from front to back. however their is an exception for soft bodied feeders, such as silkworms, hornworms which can bend the length rules.

being 4 months old, and listening to what SuperRed posted, I would say Small-Med depending on the size of the mouth and the other factors SuperRed posted.
