crickets at walmart

This might interest those buying crickets by the dozen at the pet shop- I saw 50 packs of crickets at walmart today for $2.47 on top of the bait refridgerator as I was walking by. They were chirping adults, but thought I'd mention them here on the forums as I know some here buy from pet shops probably for more than this price instead of mail ordering.

They would be good if someone wanted to start pin-heads on the cheap for baby chameleons too, rather than ordering 500 or a thousand breeders and paying shipping...

Come to think of it- that might include me as I've got baby veileds hatching right now...

Thats cheap! When I run out of my bulk order. I sometimes have to pick up 75-100 cricks from petco to hold me over. I know petco charges .14 per cricket for adults .12 for meds. That walmart price is about .04 cents per crick. Wow, now Wally World is targeting the feeder business too.

Well, not really the feeder business as they were on top of the fishing bait fridge in the fishing section.

I don't know why but it didn't cross my mind I had a small clutch of veileds start hatching yesterday- I'll have to pick some up later today myself and get some pinheads started.

Wow, that is a great price! I may check out my Wal-Mart to see if they have any crickets for sale. Would be great to hatch out some pin heads for my baby panther with.

I have looked for them multiple times, but I haven't had the luck to find any. :/
