Cricket Keepers

I have always kept my crickets/locusts in the plastic tubs they come in from the store and struggle to insert food and water crystals when needed...

I should probably upgrade to make life easier for me... I'm after something that's got easy access for feeding the critters... but something with minimum escapes...

I have been looking at exo terra (large) and Komodo (large)....

Any ideas?

easy as 5 dollars at wal-mart, cut some holes and cover with screen if you like but i just leave the lid off

"plastic tubs they come in from the store"

wait what? plastic tubs? most pet store just put them in fishbags.....

and actually the big friggin tupperware container may be a bit much if you only have a few at a time. but still if you have a chameleon, youll probabaly be getting more, and if youre anything like me in a year or twos time youll be ordering 2000 crix at a week. only about $30 as opposed to 11cents a peice at your local petstore...whats that even equate to 2000x.11=220 so $220...holy crap petstores make a killing.

Testify, lol.

I have 1 cham and use the large Kricket Keeper. It works great for me. It holds 200 easy. I like it for the tubes the crix climb into! You just slide 1 out...tap a bunch into a tall plastic cup..... Dump some back if too many... then dump the remainder into your dusting cup..... Shaky shake..... Then set that cup on its side in the cage and they will scatter. Also buy some extra tubes... the extra caps come in real handy for cleaning... it keeps the 1's in there from escaping;) I also cut the ends of the Keeper away and added screen to the ends for more ventilation.
