I used to let my beardie go on walk about to pick off any strays that escaped, particularly during unpacking, then came along Scout. While he is getting better, he still views the reptiles with too much interest. Sad to say, my beardie and BTS rarely gets to free range anymore except when the dog is out on walks -- and of course it is never long enough for them. The chams free range in their plants up high -- I call it the "high-hide". They do okay there but I am getting the stray escapee, usu in the tub.
On an aside, once they are out, they never go back in. It's a health and safety issue.
