Crested Geckos

Ive decided that Im going to get a Crested Gecko next week, and a Chameleon a few weeks after that.

So Im looking for a good Crestie resource to help me learn about how they live and what kind of setup they need. Any good sites I should know about?

There are several of us on here who keep and/or breed cresties as well, but since this is a chameleon forum, I would refer you to the gecko forums for more of the type of information you seek. (there are some of us on there as well...)

It seems that you are just seeking general care info? Then I would suggest using the search tools on that forum to find that basic information. Surely there must be some. You might have to use a little elbow grease, but I wouldn't wait for someone to get back to you on something you can find yourself just by doing a search for it.

Pangea and the Gecko Forums are two great resources. As I already said in the chat feel free to PM me any time with questions, or even make a thread here - there are a lot of us who have chameleons who also keep cresteds. Too bad it's so hot! I have a few baby cresteds that need homes.

Sweetness. I ordered everything today, and Ill have the setup on the 29th, and the gecko on the 30th.

Noodle sounds like a very cute name. Pangea reptile, has a great selection of geckos and supplies.

look on faunaclassifieds they have very nice selections since its local people selling i just seen new babies up for grabs! you better hurry! they got some replies!

Heres the cage setup:

2 magnetic ledges
2 magnetic plants
1 magnetic hide
1 magnetic food/water holder
1 driftwood
1 log
And some vine

Ill add some paper towels at first, but I also got some carpet.


I think Noodle is gonna like it, whenever I get him.

Your cage looks gawjus. Do you have earthquakes in your area? Be sure nothing can fall over and hurt the little one.

The news always says theres gonna be an earthquake sometime, but I mad sure everything in the cage is being held up by something sturdy.

These magnetic things are fancy. I keep moving them around to try and find a better setup.

AC Reptiles didnt email me that they shipped the gecko today so Im kinda bummed

Probably waiting for good weather, don't worry too much - it gives you more time to perfect your set up. I love the magnaturals but they are a little expensive.
