Crested Gecko!

I was at the pet store today and saw a crested gecko morph, super cool looking guy! I loved his little feet and he was so cool looking, almost bought the little guy but had to resist. I know what I'm getting for christmas :D

I didn't get any cool morph but my most recent pick up was from a shop selling local cresteds!

Seeing as I already had one named Jake, I named this one Finn seeing as he was smaller and slightly more orangey.

Ok, I'll admit I decided to show both of them. The obviously larger crested is Jake, and the smaller one is Finn. Jake is still in Cali, waiting to be shipped when my gf gets up here.

A little info about them...

Jake was bought a few months old from a pet shop... they were trying to get rid of him since he was bigger and apparently people don't want a juvi. I've had him since January and he is happy and healthy!

Finn is just about two months old, I've had him for a month and he is quite adventurous! He climbs right onto you and stays there. (Opposite of Jake, who loves jumping!)

Ayes, Jake rarely lets me pick him up, and loves hiding in his plants, definitely recommend getting them as a baby!

@mbondy- what kind of morph?

what pet store do u go to???
house of reptiles???

There's a store with two locations, the store is called Critter Cabana. I really like the store because you can hold about everything they have, I love to handle their dragons, geckos, and snakes. They have my favorite pythons too! What I hate about the store is they can't keep chams. They have 6 veileds, all about two months old in a large repti-breeze with a bowl of water, no shelter, no UVB, substrate, and not much heat. They must be knew since they look healthy. They have a Jackson for sale at $160, they say it's a male and is not! I also hate they've puppies for sale too.

Besides the puppies and chams they are a really unique pet store.

Hey they're both cute! I just had never seen the morphs and couldn't believe how cool they looked. I never paid much attention to geckos since I've never encountered them, I love their little feet! :D

Ok I believe she/he was a Bi-Crested Ghecko, I don't think it was a baby. She/he was pretty docile, then again it was during the day but so darn cute!

They had "it" priced at $60, I've no idea whether that is fair or not. Then again all my wallet was thinking was "hey, that's much cheaper then a chameleon, so who cares!!" ;)

Yeah, that is about what I paid for Finn. Jake was about 29, but that is Petco pricing (the 29.99) vs breeder pricing (59.99).

Well for a pet store they are overpriced, I would pay $60 for one of those morphs from a breeder. They are darn cool :)

Finn was from a local breeder (the owner of the shop actually breeds cresteds) on the other hand, I wouldn't ever buy a chameleon from him. All his stuff is reasonably priced. Monitors are about 40 dollars, different morphs of beardeds go to about 50 at most. Just, when it comes to the only cham he has in the store... it doesn't even have a light.

Same with this pet store, all their lizards are healthy and well taken care of. Their enclosures are a tad bit small but they look good, the chams have a light at least but I don't think it benefits them at all. You'd think they would take care of their animals correctly.

See, that is the funny thing about this place... EVERYTHING including the crocodiles they have are taken care of correctly, except for the already paid for chameleon. I wonder why.

Yup, one in wilsonville and they've another one in newberg. The store is cool especially if you want to hold everything like me. You should go, it's a good waste of time.
