I was going to feed my Cham this morning(I hand feed her) and she usually walks straight up but she was a little angry today, I caught a super funny pic of her that I wanted to share though.

Hi! :) How often are you misting/spraying and do you use a dripper?
A big concern with a ‘humidity bath’ would be too much humidity which could cause a respiratory infection. He looks like a rather young chameleon and they are more fragile and susceptible to illness.

i do have a mister that i do basically whenever his humidity is dropping low. he does have a dripper as well but never tends to use it. my biggest concern is he kept getting sunken in eyes, which is a lack of water, so after i started giving him some extra water he has perked up and looks healthier than ever.
 
What are his day and nighttime humidity levels, and how long do you mist for each time normally?
 
i make sure to mist everything in his tank, so basically until the plants are close to dripping. his humidity levels stay between 50-65% sometimes higher because i live somewhere where it is usually humid in general

So for veileds, your daytime humidity needs to be between 30-50%, preferably on the low to middle end of that. If your house has too high of humidity, you can use a whole room dehumidifier away from the cage to help lower the humidity. At night, you can raise it all the way up to 100% humidity if there is enough airflow and the temperature is cool enough (under 65*F max). You can do that using a cool-mist or ultrasonic humidifier (it and it’s tubes and all accessories need to be cleaned thoroughly and often, at least once a week minimum) or short misting sessions throughout the night to keep the humidity up.

i use a dehumidifier when the room reachers too high of a humidity. Thank you!
 
For misting sessions, he needs at least two mistings a day (preferably around when his lights go on and off) that are a minimum of 2-5+ minutes long each time. You can also use a dripper if you want to add extra water

That sounds like what i already do :) so thank you! and i just purchased a dripper for him awhile ago!
 
If you wouldn’t mind, it’d be great if you can start your own thread with this form filled out (in as much detail as possible- including pics of your entire enclosure and lights), so we can help make sure the rest of your husbandry is at 100%!

Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
  • Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
  • Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
  • Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
  • Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
  • Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
  • History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.
Cage Info:
  • Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
  • Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
  • Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
  • Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
  • Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
  • Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
  • Location - Where are you geographically located?
Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.
