crawling on bottom of cage?

my 3 month old male ambilobe chameleon likes to crawl on the very bottom of the side of his cage only when outisde. hes not like on the ground or anything just very low in the side of the enclosure.he only does this when i put him outside and he paces (sp?) from front to back like he wants out. if i try to get him he just runs away and doesnt like to be handled. he is eating well and poops like 1-2 times everyday. he is VERY health otherwise so does anybody els have this problem?

possibly its only shows that its 81 outside as the high. does that seem too hot? hes not white or very bright colors to expelll heat so i dont think that is it :/

im 99% sure. the breeder was very well informed and he is showing some very bright colors that females would not show i belive. i can post a picture if i can get close to em. its hard tho because he is very shy and if i stick my hand in the cage he puffs up and runs away -.-

Sometimes chams wander on the ground, my guy does it. Usually he's searching for food, as long as your cham is active and on the ground, you are ok. Start to worry when he's not moving much.

Maybe he sees other trees that he's trying to get too, I know when i take my guys out they climb every where and sometimes even climb down the tree to get to another area, it can be nerve racking sometimes haha

yea after doing some more searching it just seems like hes just trying to explore... just shed for the first tim in my care yesterday....hes so colorfull now even at 3mo
