Roaches are gutloaded with fresh fruits/veggies every 2 days and a powdered diet of approx 50%oats,30%high quality rabbit food and 20% high quality cat food.

Watering - Hand Mist 3-4 times daily with water treated with repti-safe. I mist until i see him at least lick the leaves a few times.
Fecal Description - Fecal matter seems fine no strange colors and not abnormally soft. Has not been tested for parasites since i have acquired him.
History - He was recieved from a person on craigslist who could no longer keep him. Came with all his supplies but there were no supplments to speak of. Lighting was correct and he seems very healthy. For the first few weeks i added some herptivite to the calcium plus to hopefully get his calcium levels in check in case they were low. Has been eating like a pig and drinking wonderfully.

Cage Info:

Cage Type - Cage is the one he came with which is 24x24x48in it is a wooden frame with coated wire screen(can see screen in one of the pictures)
Lighting - Lighting is a reptisun 5.0 a new one was purchased when i got him in case the one he came with was old. Also a zoo med spot basking bulb in a reflector.
Temperature - Cage is set up with multiple basking sites ranging from about 100*F down to about 85*F The rest of the cage is at about 78-80 degrees during the day. All lights shut off at night and the room temp in my herp room drops to about 72-75*F
Humidity - Humidity levels in the herp room are about 30% directly after misting the cage humidity levels rise to as much as 55% but the drop gradually as water evaporates.
Plants - No live plants yet, plans for a pothos or ficus in the future.
Placement - Cage is located in a spare room i have that has the chameleon and all my geckos in it. The only person that goes in the room is me to care for the animals.
Location - I am located near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Okay so theres the info on my veiled. He was given to me for free along with his cage and lights from someone on craigslist who was leaving the country and could no longer keep him. I do not handle him much as he is very aggressive and just doesn't seem to tolerate handling very well. Toady i decided to take him out because he had some stuck shed at the base of his tail that appeared overnight. I moistened the shed and got most of it off but noticed that something seemed to look strange at th base of his tail/vent area. The last time i had any Chameleon it was years ago and he too was a male veiled and it almost seems as if this chameleons vent is much larger than my other chameleons was, though it could just be my memory failing me. Please take a look at the pictures and let me know if you think this looks like anything to be worried about. Other than this bump he seems extremely healthy, never misses a meal and is very active using the different basking spots throughout the day.

Here are the pictures.

I was waiting for someone to anwser on this because im not shure myself. it could be MBD. you may need a vet weather this is or is not the case. it could also be a problem with his hemipnie

They could be sperm plugs. The photo is out of focus, but that's what it looks like. Do a search for sperm plugs and see if that is what you have there. They can be easily removed, but a vet might be needed too if they have been there a long time.
Good luck. I took one out a few months ago and it wasn't hard.

I don't think it is a prolapse because there's not actually anything protruding from the vent. The only camera I have is the one on my phone and it wouldn't focus any better but in the picture the bump I'm talking about is on the right hand side behind the vent toward the tail. I looked up sperm plugs before posting but , like I said before there's not anything actually protruding from the vent and all the threads I found seemed to suggest that the plugs would be somewhat visible out the vent. Could it still be a sperm plug or prolapse even though nothing is visible from the vent?
