covering your cage

Hey guys i got a question when covering your cage for humidity should i cover the entire side or just half way it really frustrating to keep it nice and humid any ideas

It should be fine, as long as you have top to bottom airflow. Just cover 2 sides and back (three sides total). If that still doesn't work, you should get a humidifier.

Covering up to three sides is fine if you're having issues.

I wouldn't cover the cage at all. Stagnant air will do more harm than good. I've kept 31 species of Chams in San Diego, from east county to the beach, since 1991 and haven't worried about their humidity since 1992. Just make sure they get enough to drink and they'll be fine here.

The most I have ever covered was the back, and one of the sides, usually the left.
I cut a very thick sheet of clear plastic the exact size, and duct tape all around.
I would be afraid of not getting proper ventilation covering 3 sides as I want the cage to dry as much as possible between mistings to reduce bacterial growth.
I would maybe cover the back , one side, and half of the other side.

Like a strip of plastic not as wide, leaving a few inches on both sides for venting.

Sure, no problem. It's not that humid here but it's also not so dry that it dries them out either.
