covering dirt

Just wondering what your thoughts were about using babies tears instead of river rock to cover the dirt on plants?

I've never done it, but it should be fine. I may give it a try on my large umbrella tree.

See as we seem to be short on Botanist I guess I'll give it a try myself. I personally think it would work great. A plant the cham can eat that puts off oxygen, and humidity. And with the coverage it has I'm pretty sure it will keep them from getting dirt in their mouths. Just worried if it will take over my plants.

Thanks for the post it was real helpful. Sometimes I don't think the other members realize just how long it takes to look this stuff up, or maybe I'm just too stupid to know how.
