So you need a controversial topic in chameleon husbandry or something not related to husbandry?? Sorry I confuse easily! Just some ideas of things ppl argue, um er I mean "debate" about on here:
Cross Breeding: Should you or shouldn't you. and how should it be done correctly (this is #1 by far)

There was a really interesting thread on ppl getting over excited with having multiple species without really being knowledgeable about any of them.
Ex. You get your 1st panther EVER then all the sudden 6 months later you have killed a panther, a veiled, a pygmy, a cristatus...etc etc. They were debating that it should be more important to educate yourself and become "expert" with 1 species - all aspects of that species care before jumping into a dozen different species. I found this topic very interesting...ok hope that helps!

it has to be something that cant relate to chameleon husbandry

I think cross breeding locales would be an excellent topic as there are great arguments on both sides of the issue.

Cross breeding seems to be the main one not related to husbandry (glass vs. screen, cool vs. warm, free range vs. cages are all husbandry topics). It's definitely a topic that's generated some heated discussion here. You can probably find a few thread in General Discussion.

Definitely like the topics of cross breeding panther locales and keeping multiple chameleons together.
I've heard people call cross panthers derogatory names, anything from "stupid cross" to "f**king trash," so people get really angry about it. A thing I've never understood, because it's not the animal's fault that it's not a pure locale, certainly, it doesn't deserve to be insulted.
And group cohabitation is another interesting one. People certainly have a lot of success keeping chameleons together (not just male-females, but males-males or females-females) but they always get a little heat from people that are against it. But it's one of those things that may not work for everyone, so it's controversial.
