Well today I got my Dubia colony. my new one at first I was terrified of roaches!!! and now I finally mustered up the courage to actually look at them! the adults are just gross!! and the babies are like isopods (rollie pollies) my female and my male adults are just nasty!
so i feel i have accomplished something but i feel crazy bringing in roaches into my home!!!!! god I must love my chams to bring nasty a** bugs in my hosue!!!! ew ew ew ew ew im not going to sleep at all tonight! (they need a cringe face button jmo)

They aren't that bad. Plus introducing a different food source is a good thing in case of cricket shortages/virus, etc.

well its not new to my female. the previous owner had the colony with her and i just aquired it. and a reptile breed is sending me a bunch of his extra dubias i hope mine survive! my male on the other hand looks at them like wheres my crickets!? lol

I give you two weeks to a month, then you'll be fine with them.

Try sneaking the male one in with the crickets once in a while. He may just develop a taste for them.

Just make sure you don't feed them off to fast so you won't run out! Keep them heated and fed well and you should have a nice colony going and you will never run out of food.

mine are in my closet in a glass aquarium which is in another class aquarium just for now but i have an Exo Terra Heat pad on the bottom of it i will be pluggin it in tomrrw because tonight when i can't sleep i am cleaning out the cage they are in so much rotten food in it. its harder than a rock! D:
