So last 2 days frankies "lips" right in the front he has little bits of black stuff. Kinda looks like dirt. Which he ate a week and half maybe 2. But it just came about recently.. and I can't mist it off. Not sure wat to use to see if itll rub off.. certainly not my finger.. it does not carry into his mouth.
Curious if this is early stages of mouth rot? rubbing marks? Or some dirt/bug crap..
Also wat should i use to see if it'll come right off?

It's probably just dirt. He might still be sneaking a bite. My veileds do it all the time.

If you don't want to use your finger, use a Q-tip?

He is a very gorgeous beast! When I took my chameleon to the vet she had some dark patches on her lip which ended up being skin which hadn't fully shed (I dread to think what conditions she'd been kept in before I got her) and he just used a wet q-tip to clean the area, so I second Kmw's comment, and would recommend a gentle clean with a q-tip and see if it comes off.
