Its the first time my female veiled chameleon has been put in a laying bin. She's roughly a year old and has been showing the regular signs from all the research ive done. I mixed up a nice bin, with foliage and set her inside this morning.
All day, she has been laying in the dirt, roughly in the same spot. At some point in time, she dug about a 1/2 inch "hole" beside the base of a plant. I have not been disturbing her. I read the process could take up to 72 hours. Should I turn her lights off tonight?
Unfortunately I do not have anything to take pics with but, she looks stressed out. But at the same time, she looks like she's loving the basking on the ground..
Ive watched some videos and read articles but, I always worry about her. She hasn't made much effort to do anything today. I havnt really found a ton of info on behavior during laying but I'm worried maybe simethings not right..Ill keep the article updated. Advice and pointers would be greatly appreciated.
