Is anyone using a computer fan with a 9v battery in you setups? If so, can you post pictures of the set uo, or post a comment on the set up?
what type of fan? what RPMs are the best, ect... thank you.

What kind of cage are you using?

Also, fans cause drafts which are not good with these guys. If you have problems with circulation, find a better placement for the cage.

i have a 18x18x36. It seems as if there is an "ordor" on the bottom of the cage now and then. I keep it clean all the time and make sure the water is drained away.

any suggestions?

I'm using computer fans with plug in adapters from radioshack. Probably the way to go- you get the speed wrong and you ruin the fan...

The adapter is quick and easy- just plug your wires into it. It costs about $20.

If you use a fan, you might draw the air out of your cage rather than force it in to help with draft...

EDIT- I'm using the fans in my incubators, not in my cages. Sorry I omitted that- it was in my mind but failed to make it out onto the post LOL. I don't use fans in my cages.

As long as you let the cage dry out before mistings and clean it often, you shouldn't have a problem. As far as odor, if you have live plants, that may be the issue. Sometimes the dirt gives a bad odor.
