Comfortable?

I've been leaving drax's cage door open to get him used to it. Yesterday he crawled out onto the door twice almost like he wanted to escape. but I put my hand out to stop him and he went on it and i was able to handle him for a bit. Does this mean hes more comfortable with coming out of the cage?

I think it means "escape and freedom " for the cool drax,I would be bored to if im in my room all day long

I would agree with alphakenc he just wanted out. They never get confortable with us per say they just tolerate us.

And brownie64 is correct we all been in the zoo,I believe all those animals if they ever get a chance to get out they will break out whenever they can,they are jus there loving the food for us human to feed them every day thats all

I guess so. But i guess he seems to be tolerating me more.

I know soIf the escape route including meeting your hand,Im sure he had no other choice to be on your hand,and guess what....that creates a great opportunity for u to interact with him,cause you are helping him to "escape outside of his cage" take that opportunity for your advantage indeed

Thats exactly what I've been doing! Instead of forcing him out of his cage I can just let him come out on his own terms. I would like to take him outside to actually sun bathe but its too cold...

That sounds great,its just like my pink slider turtles,he will never stick his head out when its on the dry land in front of me,but once I put him in the water, he comes out on his shell cause he needs air to breath,and thats how i found out his fading color pink instead of red,
As far as the sun like heat that u need to whisper at him to let him know that "Hey,my dear drax,its winter now,unfortunately we not in Madagascar right now,but I promise u to take u for a sunbathing when summer is here"in the mean time you can play a video in YouTube for him so he might feel better when he sees what Madagascar look like,they do see very good with their eyes
