colours and age

hi, i just wanted some experienced input on what age panther chameleons colours stop getting more vibrant.

i read a few things online say a year but just wanted to check!

I had this same question as well. Also, when do they start getting vibrant?

IMO, they are always vibrant, just paler when younger.

I have seen 8 year old chams that still look vibrant, but that is in my opinion.

They are constantly changing and evolving through out their entire lives as I understand it.

Watching them change over time is my favorite part about them.

Some get bright colors younger but by 6 months you'll definitely see a big difference. And their colors are usually fully matured by 1.5-2 years of age, although they may still develop small differences in their appearance as they age. And as long as they're healthy they will remain vibrant all their lives.

My panthers have all continued to colour-up as they aged, until about the 6th year after which they seem to get a little duller.

But by one year of age you'll see lots of colour

^^ agreed!! Some are early/late bloomers. But most start the color-show at 6 months. It's also fitting that most "holdback" Chams are sold at 6 months'ish!
