Hey guys I pick up a 9 month old panther cham soon and I was wondering if you guys think his colour will change at all and maybe guestimate how drastic the colour change would be. He already looks great as it is but im just curious to see if he would get any new colours. Here is the baby and the sire. I do not have the dams sire on hand at the moment. He is from a Canadian company called EH chameleons. What do you guys think :D

Jann, Are those colors normal daily colors or just when they are mating/threatened? I've only seen one panther in real life and it was a Nosey Be. It was gorgeous but not sure it this his how they always are since this was a a crowded reptile show. The sires that are always shown I suspect are posed by a mirror or another male to enhance colors. What is your experience?

Joe, these are normal happy colors. I don't put my chameleons in front of a mirror, show them males or anything that might stress them. My Nosy Be Hendershot showed his blue his entire adult life. https://www.chameleonforums.com/photo-tribute-hendershot-my-sweet-blue-boy-141887/

Chameleons change colors all through their life. Just look how my boy Mufasa changed. https://www.chameleonforums.com/tribute-mufasa-99676/

Personally, other than having a good idea what a particular cham COULD look like, one thing I love about them is the whole "box of chocolates-never know what you're going to get" surprise. There is so much individual variation in panthers to begin with. Watching your unique cham develop its own identity is a lot of the fun. So much of their beauty is only seen close up too.
