Colorful Clothing

Hello fellow Chameleon lovers!

I was just wondering, since chameleons use colors to communicate, should one avoid colorful clothing when interacting with chameleons? Are there any studies or anecdotal evidence from the community regarding this?

These guys are so fascinating

I do belive it has been discussed that it can effect them a little, often wearing white can ssem to make a cham more calm and they seem to get worked up around red colors.

There is quite a lot actually! One member dyed her hair pink and suddenly had a very shy chameleon. Another cut himself somehow and got a right hissing from his guy. They all have different triggers though, and some might not be bothered at all. Have you noticed anything with your guy? Does he react differently to you when you wear certain things?

I guess you could say I am pretty safe when it comes to fashion and mostly rock earth tones, haha.

I know for sure though that my cham hates it when I wear a hat, either my dark blue fidora or my orange Bengals hat. He looks at me like he is thinking "Whats up with that new casque? Its freaking me out!"

I got a red lava lamp 3 days ago and noticed my veiled cham was dark so i moved my lamp

I swear my cham only likes me when i wear y polorized shades and a backward hat. Forward freaks him out hahah

to be fair, if i saw you wearing yellow pants, i might hide too.

My female Veiled gets very timid when I am wearing either my black hat, or one of my black shirts, she does not like it at all

Well we know our chams hate black. My fiancé has a black phone cover which he takes all the pictures on. They always fire up.
