Took Ja$per out today to see if I could get him fired up...Never seems to work lol.

The camera doesn't do his colors justice! Just wish the sun would come out for atleast a day! haha

This was when I first got him, around 4-5 months old:
(Petshop worker hand, not mine! lol)

Yup...Thats what everyone thought he was. But the OG's knew he was Ambanja haha. When i bought him I was told he was Nosy Be...

Wish his colors stayed like that, updated pictures make his colors look allot darker. Waiting for this bay area weather to warm up for a day but it looks like it ain't gunna happen haha.

Hah! I totally looked and my first guess was Faly! His colors are amazing :D Very nice :)

I know, I was hoping I hit the miracle jackpot and got a faly

But he's def 100% petshop ambanja lol.

You are doing a great job with Jasper. He's quite a handsome Cham! Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the encouraging words Jann! I really appreciate it.

He looks great:D

Thank you! I think so too haha.

Man I love his colours it's like an ice blue he looks great, what locality is he? I'm trying to learn all the localities as ill b getting one soon, but where I live you don't get to choose its what the can get is what you get, so ill probably have to figure out what locality and age they are, beautiful Cham by the way

Thanks! Yeah Jasper was a stunner.

Funny/Sad story about good ol' Jasper. When i first bought him I was told he was a Nosy Be locale, finally went through hell to get him from a reptile store (worst decision ever) told people on the forums he's a Nosy Be, everyone told me he was a Faly. I finally figured out who sold the chams to the reptile shop I bought him from. And he said he's 100% Ambanja.

Thing about the reptile shop I got him from, he was about 5 months old in a 1"x1"x1" glass tank, so i felt bad for him and had to get him. He had a few marks on his lip, alittle on the skinny side but he was def a great looking panther. Once i went through hell to get him, i decided to look up reviews from the store I bought him from. Turns out tons of peoples reptiles got parasites and ended up dying. About a month after having Jasper I noticed he wasn't eating well, poop smelled, just had bad signs. So i took him to the vet, had him get a check up and a fecal exame.

Fecal came back and he had 2 parasites. Pinworms and Coccidia. Coccidia isn't a joke, it's probably one of the toughest parasites to get rid of from a cham. About a week ago I lost Jasper...Tried everything possible but he didn't make it. I'm sure he got his parasites from the reptile store, so thats the last time i'm ever going that route. But in the end, I'm glad I got Jasper. Made sure he had a better life in my hands than that nasty store.

Hopefully down the line I can find another ambanja just like him. His colors were something else. These pics don't do his colors justice and they always end up looking saturated/not as bright when i upload them to photo sites.

Took me awhile to learn panther locales, but i'm pretty confident in myself now. Just takes some time haha. I just looked at allot of photography threads on this forum which helped me out a bunch.

Sorry to hear about your lost, that sucks so bad at least he had a good life in the end with you and was well looked after, breaks your heart when this kind of stuff happens, I hope your doing ok, he was such a stunner and you could tell he was happy, nice work, ill do my research so I have more knowledge on panther localities, thanks mate
