I did not want to put this in the ID section, as we know what he is, but what is this color? would he be a turquoise - sun burst ?
this is a rescue - he is VERY thin - poor little bag of bones :( but picking up weight everyday , but was just wondering his "color" - he already looks so much better, but has a ways to go -
thanks

Congrats on your new rescue. You are going to love a veiled. They are so much fun and show so much personality. :) He looks like he's going to show allot of yellow.

he is not at my house- this is an "email' rescue- he was way to far to pick up, but got him into a home w/ someone who has chams, and I have been sending her " care packages" of food & stuff- I do not think he could have taken being moved so far- but now he is looking much better- I kinda thought the "sun burst" color-? I have had veiled tho- the bluest female I had ever seen, she was great - she came in even worst than he is - she did lose an eye to infection , but when she was 100% recovered, she was re homed, but I miss her still - lol

I still remember when you sent he those first pictures. I am still amazed that he lived being kept in those conditions. I know nothing about veiled colors. Jann gave the best info you are likely to get. Tell that girl I still think it was wonderful she took him and still can't believe she had to pay for him.

yes, she is doing very well w/ him - :D I am sending her a roach gift basket again - lol all my silks are now little cute fuzzy balls, so no more of those :(
sometimes, to get them out of the situation, sad as it is- the stupid owners would rather let them die rather than hand them over- I am going to see if the 501 will cover the $ - but if not, he did not have much time to go - I think it was the right thing -

i never understood how people could own pets and not take care of them. With proper vet care, and housing care. I made the mistake once but i was 8 years old, but thats when my mom steeped in an took my sick iguana to the vet. found out we had no UVB. So we gave him shots for a month. had the guy for all most 20 years before he got stolen from his outdoor cage. but it just blows my mind, i can understand if your uneducated, its not an excuse but at least if you see them not looking right take them to the vet like we did. I hate when people dont take responsibility and ignore their pets.

cup feeding

Saw some cup feeding in the pix. all my male chams (different varities) were quicker to cup feed, if at all. however, my male veils ALWAYS look in their cups. if she wants to get his weight up, tell her not to abandon the cup. i also put out different cups also, get his lazy butt movin'. everybody happy happy...
