17weeks2.jpg my 17 week old blue bar ambilobe was really starting to show his blue bars then one day after taking him out of his cage i noticed his bars seemed to be turning red. its been 3 weeks since then and his bars are solid red no blue. is this due to being stressed or did i not get a blue bar ambilobe?

As they grow up they go through many different color changes. Its normal that he'll develop some red. In the picture you provided I can only see blue bars. He's got nice coloration for just over 4 months, too!

He is a very handsome little man! I agree that the colors can change. Some panthers can show different color bars at different times. He does look like a blue bar to me. Where do you get him?

It happens, just because you have two parents with blue eyes doesn't guarantee that you won't get children with brown or green eyes instead. Genetics are a tricky thing, and even if the last 3 generations of parents were blue bars doesn't mean that all the offspring every time will be blue bar, at least for many more generations.

He's still beautiful, and there is a change he'll still change before he's done growing.
