Coccidia

I have been reading a lot about parasites and health of chameleons, one that stands out is coccidia, i was wondering if chameleons in the wild get it and how will they get better?, if it is really contagious wouldn't a lot of chameleons in the wild have it and die from it, just courious

The wc's I've received haven't had coccidia. I've dealt with pinworms and amebas with my wc's, my spelling might be off lol. But, I have heard of them in wc chams. I don't believe that chameleons live quite is long in the wild as they do in captivity, therefore it doesn't have an adverse effect on their life expectancy, but im far from an expert.

Had it in a wc globifer chameleon many years ago. It was easy to get rid of and he was with me for several years. He looked healthy and I would never have expected to that there was anything wrong with him.
