Hey all...well in the past week I noticed a HUGE difference in my 3 chameleons behaviour. A female and male panther chameleon, almost 2 years old and my male merumontanus jacksons age unknown, been in captivity for about 15 months.

All 3 chameleons had the same symptoms:
Eyes closed during the day, huge loss of apetite (has been for about 2 weeks), they were offered praying mantises as a different feeder, aswell as mealworms, crickets and roaches.
But each chameleon has its own symptom different to the rest.

Male Panther:
Blood on defecation and smeared a bit on branch...
I lost the poor boy a few days ago...RIP FlameBoy

Female Panther:
She has some swellings that actually seem like MBD though she has swelled up feet/toes too, she still seems to be eating the best.
I dont understand how she could have MBD though, she has laid 2 clutches in her life time, first clutch when she was about 15 months old, second a few months later, always dusted her food with calcium during the gravid time and then when not gravid she was on the same schedule as my male panther who did not have any swellings around toes or ankles.
She is currently still alive

Male Jacksons:
No blood smear or swellings like chams above, he has sunken eyes and keeps them closed, also tail has the dehydrated look to it aswell...this chameleon was always given a lot of water

Also all the chameleons were under a Reptisun 5.0 tube.
Room temperature was always at around 22 during the day.

All of this has happend suddenly. The chameleons are in their own cages, their cages are all next to each other.

Do these symptoms sounds familiar to any disease, I was thinking it could be coccidia...

Kind regards
Tyrone

Coccidia would explain a decrease in appetite, weight loss, runny stools or vomiting.

I am unsure this would result in death so fast. I had a 14wk old Cham that was infested with coccidia and it took about 2/3 months to get the better of him. He did eventually pass away despite my/vets efforts at 9grams in weight. And his appetite was extremely low.

I never saw any blood in any fecaes so I am not sure on that.
