Closed / itchy eye

Hi everyone! I’m new to the site but I have a panther which I’ve had for about 2 years now and has always been a healthy guy. But recently this week he has not been looking like his old self. He still has good moment activity and will move throughout his cage, however this week I noticed him spending a lot of time with his right eye or both eyes closed during the day time. I noticed the eyes closing a few days ago but today I saw his eyes were sunken and also saw him itching eye at his right eye. Everyday I mist his cage 3-4 times a day for abt 2 min each time but today I misted the cage like multiple times every hour and even had the dripper going right in front his face but he refused to drink anything off of the plants in his cage. Finally abt an hour or two ago he allowed me to drip a few drops of water into his mouth using a syringe.I am worried about him becoming very dehydrated, I appreciate any advise on how to help my lil guy out !

Welcome to the forum!

Have you replaced th UVB light in the last while?

What are you feeding/gutloading the insects with?
What insects are you using?

You may be giving him too much D3 by using that powder depending on how often you're using it. Does it have any vitamin A in it?

I have two UVB bulbs the spiral one is abt 6-7 months old but the other one I got about a month ago.

I gutload using Flukers and fresh fruit and veggie compost when available at my house.

I try to use the calcium powder not more than 3-4 times a month sometimes once a week & it does have Vit A

What is the other UVB light...brand, etc?

The powder you showed the container of has D3 in it..it's recommended that you only use it twice a month lightly.
What form of vitamin A does it have in it? PrOformed (beta carotene) or prEformed (palmitate, retinol, retinyl)?

It's recommended that you use a phos free calcium powder lightly at almos every feeding and a vitamin powder with a prOformed source of vitamin A twice a month.

Eye issues can be caused by some UVB lights and also from a lack of vitamin A or an imbalance in the vitamin A and D3 might be a problem too.
