closed eye! please help

I noticed 3 days ago now that one of my week old pygmy chams had one of its eyes shut. It's been three days now and the poor guy still isn't opening his eye and now his tongue aim is off. I can see him still moving it around and such but the actual eyeball itself will not open.
I need some advice from someone knowledgeable in pygmies on what to do. I didnt know if maybe misting him with warm water to loosen it up might help? Or if it's safe to do on such a small cham. The eye is not sunken in at all and it does not look crusty in any form.
I was also wondering if that didn't work if it is SAFE to buy turtle eye drops and put it on a q-tip and slightly dab the eye with it? Is is harmful to use turtle drops on such a young tiny chameleon? I hope someone can help me out with this. Thanks!

When I asked the vet about my cham's eye he said I could try dropping saliene solution on him. His eye lid is a bit droopy, probably due to his resp. infection. But saline is very gentle, more than water because it matches the body's natural salt balance.

I would guess that it wouldn't hurt to try that, though it would not cure any problem unless he only has a speck of dust or debris you might be able to rinse out with it.

Thats a good idea thanks! I have some of that here for my contacts and it's extra sensitive, it's basically like sterile water. It's just so hard to know whats safe for him and not because he's only a week old and i mean these things are TINY. And this guy so happens to be the runt of them so hes like a bit bigger than my pinky nail plus his legs and a tail so hard to know whats safe for the poor little guy tho. Thanks for the tip i'll try that when he's done eating

What is your humidity like? Before anyone can really answer any of your questions you should fill out the how to ask for help form... otherwise it's just guessing.

Well since their babies their in large cricket keepers.
Good humidity misted 3 times a day, with a damp paper towel at the bottom changed daily.
Their all eating and drinking like champs and have doubled in size already.
2.0 repti glow bulb on them.

Not much to discribe in the enclosure since they don't have much of one since their so tiny. Obviously have branches in there, trimmings from my ficus plant

temp is a steady 78, a bit higher for the babies rather than their parents, and humidity is a steady 70-90% 90% obviously after mistings
