is a closed glass cage good for my veiled chameleon. it would be easier to keep the humidity up but i thought chameleons like air so idk what to do
 
Well the chameleon obviously needs air, so you might want to replace one of the sides or the to with screen. If that doesn't work for you, then maybe create your own ventilation, but make sure the chameleon doesn't get curious and hurt itself with DIY ventilation, such as holes. If you make them too big, you chameleon can get hurt trying to escape or they can actually just escape. They can fit in oddly small spaces
 
The exoterra will get ventilation from the chimney effect of heat rising from the lights and keeping the front vent open. Some people add small computer fans to help pull air out of the top.
