Cleft lip? Mouth rot?

Weird thought here,
have recently got a captive bred male Jacksonii jacksonii, and it seems to have what looks like a small cleft lip.

Not worried about it, just curious to see if that’s an issue Chams can get. Haven’t seen any other topics on it here or google.
Probably just missing some scales

Also, is that mouth rot in the corner? Inside seems to be pink and normal when he gaped at me transporting him to the cage.
thanks!

I don’t see why a chameleon couldn’t have a cleft lip. Even animals are born with a cleft lip sometimes. As far as the swelling by the corner of his mouth, that could be an infection. There’s a name for that type of infection in that location but I can’t remember what it’s called.
