clear growth? on head

My veiled chameleon has what appears to be a clear growth on the casque on his head.

is this normal? It's not showing up well in photos... so I don't know that they'd be of any help.

a photo would really provide alot of help, but from what you explain it sounds like a burn to me. what wattage is his heat lamp and how close can he get to it? If it is a burn and its not too severe is will go away on its own.

Does this look like the burn you thought it may be? If so I'll ajust the branches so he can't get as close to the top of the cage.

yes that is a burn, you may also want to lower his wattage, what is the wattage?

I moved the lamp, he can't get as close to it now. Should heal itself then?

yeah, but if it gets any worse or isnt going away you could use a little neosporin to aid the healing process.

Your chameleon looks like it might have (or have had) MBD...the arm looks a little crooked.

I have to agree, also the casque looks a little bent backwards and shorter then usual.
