Cleaning plants?

Hey guys,
I just bought a nice big Pothos plants (or Devil's Ivy) for my jacksons chameleon.
I read on here that you should wash the plant before you place it in the cage.
I don't know much about plants...
How do I wash it properly??

I just get some warm water and Dawn dish washing liquid in a bowl, set the plant in the sink, and with a paper towel just saturate each leave top and bottom with the soapy mix. Then give it a real good rinsing with lots of warm water...
If the weather is warm enough it's much less messy to do it outside! ;)

I do similar.

Get tub big enough to lay non root part of plant in.
fill tub with warm soapy water.
spin plant in tub.
Rinse in shower.
spin in tub again.
Rinse in shower.

Repot.
Put big rocks over dirt to prevent food/cham from getting to the dirt.

Funny you ask this - I just did this today for Kosby's big boy cage! I am lucky enough to be in 70 degree weather, so I just did it outside, but I also use Dawn soap. I figure it's safe enough for them to use on oil spill animals, my plants should be fine! Even if it's cold outside you will probably want to try to do it out there - it's pretty splashy :D
