I took Camille out to catch some sun and clean/ remodel her cage. She wasnt happy to come out or go back in. She is a 4 mo veiled with a leave me be personality. I don't even try to handle her and I respect the personality but I had no choice but to get her out and clean the cage.. I was wondering what some of y'all do after an experience like mine with not so friendly chams to reduce stress before after and during.. handling etc. I only scooped her up with my hand coming back in. Thanks everyone:)

Orrr is there nothinn? I should just stop worrying.. she seems fine just want to kind of cheer her up more maybe I've given her wax worm and Phoenix worms which are her favorite

My female Angel will let me pick her up etc. But Ringo doesnt like being messed with. So I leav him along and mess around with Angel. Although when shes out of her cage she'll turn her pretty green color and hiss at everything and everyone in site thats not me. When she was in her baby cage I would take everything out every week (didnt know better) and I would hold her. She got use to watching me go back and forth with her plants and some of her facial expressions were funny 'cause it seemed like she would stare at me like "Are you done yet, Mom?"

Hi!
At that age they can show some attitude!;)
Good you understand he's mostly a watch only pet. Try to hand feed her her favourite food every once in a while may help. Try to make less changes as possible and make sure you leave her alone when she's asleep. I found my chameleon to be more grumpy in the morning if I have to go in the room he's kept in and turn on the light.. Maybe because is when he feels more vulnerable.
How do you handle her?

I tried not to let her see me too much when I was cleaning. I put her in the egg laying bin I made to let her explore. I figured she wouldn't have been as mad when it got that time, lol.
The cage change wasn't too much different I left her basking the same. She gets a good non disturbed sleep as well. Does opening mouth and squirming body mean they're about to shed? Could be another reason she was more pissed I just thought of. I took her out on a stick she didn't seem to mad at that time
