Chewing on everything

Why is my chameleon trying to chew on the window sill? He chews on the ends of branches too... Why? Lol

I've noticed mine do that a little here and there too. I'm also curious.

i don't think anyone has a valid explanation for this. There has been some speculation like they are lacking a vitamin or something but there is no proof of this that I know of. I guess it remains a mystery. Just make sure what ever he is chewing on cannot break off and be eaten if it something that your chameleon will not be able to digest.

Maybe just cutting in some new teeth.

Yes, it had a little bit of paint chipping off that he was trying to eat but I got to it without him getting it down... Ugh! The paint job in my apartment was done very sloppy, I picked the rest off and used Lysol wipes and then rinsed that off. He could be teething! I moved him away and he went right back to it, stubborn, lol
