Cheap and Effective Rain Dripper

I thought of doing this over a year ago and just never followed through. I have plenty of experience with aquariums and thought these air stones would make great irrigation drippers. Now I’m kicking myself for waiting so long, it works great!

Everyone has a little dripper. So get yourself a $6.00 air stone from your local pet shop and do this. My chameleons loved it immediately.

The sound of soft rain drops followed by consistent draining into the bucket is music to my ears.

I have a DIY dripper and came to realize that my chameleon doesn't like the dripper at all so I took it away from her and her main source of hydration is the fogging at night and misting the leaves 2x a day, that being said when I put the dripper on she'll look at it and won't even attempt to drink from it even if it's dripping off the leaves, but I mist once on the leaves and she'll drink the water but will never drink when I put on the dripper, just hates it lol

I just have one nozzle in my dripper. it fills up during the misting, and then drips for another half hour or so. I tried the little/big dripper, but they were a hair trigger and changed based on how full they were. Dripped too much when full, and didnt empty if adjusted for normal drip when full.

But i am gonna forward this air stone stick thing to my dumpy frog crew.

Hey just a little update, the chameleons are REALLY activated by these drippers. They targeted the drippers directly, not the leaves where the drops fell. WOW.

I took out the drippers and I’m switching to these soft rubber hoses which will be more tongue friendly.
