Changing Sleep Schedule

I am going to need to change my chameleon's sleep schedule. Normally his lights come on at 8 AM and go off at 7:30 PM. I will need to start him waking up at 6 AM by the end of August. Is it better to start changing his schedule in 15 min increments each week starting now? Or is it better to just make the change all at once and let him adapt? I want to put him through the least amount of stress possible.

He is an adult panther chameleon.

The increments sound like a good idea. I don't think you need to wait a full week between changes unless you want to, but that sounds a gentle transition. That won't bother him at all.

Yeah I agree.

My chameleon usually goes asleep like a minute after I turn the lights off.

I had to do the same thing as you except he was waking up at 8 and I needed him up at 6. Over a 4 days I woke him up 30 minutes earlier each day and he adjusted very well.
