Chances of death?

Where are you getting him from? Most breeders offer some kind of guarantee. Be sure to have the package overnight and held at the post office. You don't want him sitting on your doorstep in the heat. If you do that I think it's pretty rare.

When i ordered mine they emailed me to make sure that I would be home to receive him when he arrived before 10am. They did forget to put the lot number of my house on the address so the FedEx man didn't known which house to drop him at and I spent all morning on the phone with FedEx. They tried to tell me that I just had to wait until he came around again later that day and then i told them that if my chameleon died on the truck i was going to hold them personally responsible because they told me I couldn't meet the driver somewhere to pick my package up. Then they told me where he was and let me meet the driver. Next time I will have then hold my chameleon at the post office.

Chances of baby chameleons dying from shipping?

What age is the baby and how experienced is the breeder? It is best to pick the baby up at your FexEx shipping Center. Most problems seem to happen on the truck ride out to your house.

3 months and 2 weeks old, he has had chamelon for 4 years breeding for 2 I think, yeah the guy seems very nice and Has helped me with any questions Ive had, if it dies when I get it I'll get another or refund, anyways idk where the fedex center place is or how to even have them hold it for me, I'm in arkansas.

He has had them for 5 breeding for 1 he has this website I bought 1c from him, he seems really cool nice and professional. But im just wondering the chances about them dying my girlfriend chose him out of all of them and don't want the little guy to die on the ride.http://coolchams.weebly.com/ this is the website.

You ask the breeder to have it held at the post office or fed ex center. Ask them to email you a tracking number so you can track the package. You will know by that when it will get to the fed ex center. The tracking info should have an address where it's supposed to be picked up. If not just google it. Also when you start ordering feeders you should have them do the same thing. Hold at the post office or fed Ex center.

You can also go to google and search for the closes FedEx World Service Center. As said above have the shipper set up the Cham to be held for pick up. I always take my babies to the World center right before close and have the buyer pick up the next morning. They are normally ready for pick up by 9am. That keeps the chameleon in the box the shortest amount of time.

This is the way to go. Unless you are not near fedex or do not have a way to get there timely. Then make sure you have the tracking number, the seller's phone number, and have your cham delivered to your home.

I hope for many happy years for you and your baby.

I anticipate receiving our first chameleons Tuesday via Reptile Express. They would only pick up Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday so that in the event something went wrong the chameleons would not end up in a box over the weekend.
Last week was exceptionally hot so they recommended the breeder not ship him last week. The pick-up to our residential address would only guarantee delivery for 5pm. We elected to have him delivered "hold for pick-up at the depot". This way he can be picked up as early as 830am.
Just remember to bring the tracking number and id when picking up at the depot.

They can use heat pack and cold packs to adjust to the temps outside. They are shipped overnight. I have maybe only seen one or two chameleons die during shipping on here. There have been some lost for days during shipping and they still survived even! I think if the temps are going to be extreme, either heat or cold, then the breeder might chose not to ship until the weather conditions become more favorable.
