Cham's odd bathroom behavior

My 3 year old veiled chameleon always goes to the bottom of his cage to deficate and then climbs back up. Has any one ever heard of this before and could it indicate a problem?

yes my cham does it. and no its nto aproblem.

some chams will poop anywhere, others have spots.

my male vieled will climb off his free range. onto my male hoehnelli's cage every morning and hang his butt over the edge and poo into the water drip catch tray.. without fail.

mine is the same he excretes his urate right up front on his favorite perch and nowhere else -.- and climbs to the bottom to poo and drink? he's a weird one

My cham also did that but he had to be hidden behind the plant & would only do it between 8 & 9 am.It was very strange

i thought at first it was a fluke that he had pooed right there,

then yesterday morning i came in and found him doin git... and then he watched me as he walked back to his plant, like what mom, i did it, what you gonna do about it!!?!

My guy has a room to free range in, but like others he has a special spot. I learned the hard way - never stand under his spot.

not to the bottom, but one of my chams always poops at the same time and in the same spot (1030AM, upper right corner of his tree). On time, every day.
