Chamilion

Why does my Chamilion want to get out of his cage most of the time? As soon as I walk into his room he goes straight to the front of the cage and acts excited to get out.

He could be active/wants to explore or doesn’t like his cage. Could you fill out the ask for help form linked in my signature below and post a pic of the enclosure, please?

He probably wants out. You need more branches and vines, mostly horizontal, everywhere, with lots of plant cover (real or fake). What size is your cage?

Ok Thank You for the advice. I thought he had plenty to climb on. He has lived in there since June 5th 2018. He was never anxious to get until 5 days ago. I change up the look in his cage often for him plus clean it out once a week.

Chameleons don’t like change. Give him a lush forest with lots of horizontal perches and pathways and leave it. What size is his enclosure?

He most likely does not like it when you "change up the look." The enclosure looks a little too small and definitely needs more plants and vines/branches. I think when they are younger they adapt to changes more readily, but need to settle in as they mature.
