Chameleons watch TV?

So I have a four month panther chameleon. His days are pretty routine. Lights turn on, cage is cleaned, crickets are offered, basking, free roaming, then sleep.
He's a pretty normal chameleon it seems, except for one thing that I've noticed. After he's done hunting, he does the same thing almost everyday. He climbs over to the branch closest to the side of the cage, facing the television, and will sit and stare at it for hours. I was wondering if it's simply his favorite place to sit, or of he can actually see the screen. Can chameleons watch tv? If so, should I continue to let him watch it?

turn it to the nature channel.... mating practices! Mine sits nearest me when i am on the computer.

Ah. So I guess they're just interested in the moving colors and patterns they see on the screen.

I was considering making a thread about this. My male Parsonii in his terrarium or free range at Davis will go to the perch closest to the TV and watches until he goes to sleep. I think he watches because of the movement/action. If I can find my pictures I'm going to post.
