Hi guys,

I have owned chameleons for a long time and all mine have passed from old age and I've never had issues. My chameleon "Ninion" has a lump in/outside his mouth. I have never seen something like this before. Hes got a mistking and is misted daily with a drippee and fed crickets and superworms every other day or two. Hes about 4 years old. Pictures attaches. I haven't taken him to the vet yet. This showed up about 4 days ago

I just took this picture and today is the first day his mouth is actually stuck open. Hes still eating well.

Thank you,
Sean

Please fill out the "how to ask for help" form. People here can take a look and see if there are things that need improvement or tweaking. Please use as much detail as you can! The more information we have the better we can help you and your cham! Pictures are always helpful also.

There are a few things (that I know of) it may be. Mouth rot/infection, MBD... the list goes on, so we really need further info. A picture of the inside of his mouth would be helpful if you can get one safely.

@pr3mo14 It looks like some kind of infection. Start by cleaning the debris from around the teeth and gumline with a damp q-tip. Don't be too rough, but remove all the debris and see what you have. It probably needs a vet's attention.
