Chameleons in Morocco

Hello guys,

I know that Chams are treated very poorly in Morocco but I am potentially headed there for work and would like to see some in the wild. What species would I be able to find there that you guys know of. Doing a google search made it difficult to find what is local to the area since people often murder them for all sorts of dumb reason and even believe that a bite can kill you so most are killed on site or sold for herbal reasons for.

I will keep you guys posted if I do end up going as well as post my photos but wanted to see what you guys thought I should be on the search for.

Hi Josh,

The only species that lives in Morocco is Chamaeleo chamaeleon.

Great to know. Thanks and I will see if I see any wild ones and try to post pictures. I am still not sure if the business trip will happen. I really want to reduce the amount of work trips so that I can actually get a cham and not have to worry about it not being taken care of when I am gone.
