There is lots of good information on this forum that should help you. Females can have reproductive issues that you don't have to worry about with males and their lives are often shorter....but with proper husbandry your female can live entertainment to be seven. There are no guarantees though as each is an individual and just like all other animals things/diseases we can't prevent can happen.
