Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon -Nosy Faly Panther Chameleon, male, 9-10 months old, and i've had him for 4 months
Handling - At first was shy but now everytime i open his cage he's trying to crawl out on me, so usually a few mins daily
Feeding - Used to eat 4-5 crickets daily but stopped eating those about 2 weeks ago so ive switched to super worms and mealworms. Usually i switch from 8-10 mealworms one day, and 3 superworms the next.
Supplements - Exo terra calcium w/o d3 daily, Flunkers calcium w d3 twice a month, Exo terra multi vitamin twice a month.
Watering - Usually Spray his cage 3-4 times a day with a spray bottle, although i am installing a mistking tomorrow. He drinks almost everytime, and alot more now that he hasnt been eating as much.
Fecal Description - His feces is brown with a white tip, and he hasnt been tested for parasites but he was bought off a breeders "Chamaleon Nation"
History - He was never a huge eater since i've had him, but lately he isnt interested at all with food

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Glass front with screen top and sides, it is a custom made tank and is 4ft tall 3ft wide 2 ft deep

Temperature - Basking spot is around 85 and bottum of the cage is around 70, usually drops to 70 overnight
Humidity - range from 40-80 and this is maintained with a spraybottle (soon to be mistking)
Plants - Yes there is a large umbrella plant in the bottum
Placement - The cage is located in my room which is the lowest traffic area in my house, i have the 4ft cage built on a 2ft stand so it is fairly high.
Location - Newfoundland, Canada

Current Problem - My Chameleons appetite was slowly decreasing til a few days ago.. now he wont eat at all. I dont have the option of tryin a different food as im in a fairly remote location and the only food a my pet store is crickets, superworms, mealworms. really starting to get worried about the little guy and any information helps. thanks for your time !!

Wel he is almost a year old, and it does decrease as they get older.
stop feeding the mealies an supers, these arent good for daily feeding anyway.
ONLY offer crickets, hell eat eentually.
and he can go a few days without eating if need be.

In the mornings hes usually at the bottum of the cage exploring, but spends most of the day in the upper area. He is pretty active though, everytime i open his cage hes trying to crawl out on me. and ive tried uploading pics but i think they are to big because it says upload failed everytime..

sure it is a male? would like to see pics.

you may have a long and frustrating road ahead of you. mealworms and super worms have been labeled as candy of the insect feeders. that is a very real statement. what happens is you give into your animals desire for these worm while neglecting the nutritous meals. kinda like a kid :) the lack in appetite after feeding these worms for a period of time i personally suspect but have no physical evidence. is that first, without properly gut loading this insect. The natural nutritional make up of this insect is very poor and whatever the insect is lacking or giving to much of is causing the lack in appetite. second, the animal can become impacted as a result of factors like over feeding these types of worms, insufficient hydration, poor health, improper temps and etc.

this may not be the quick answer but is a solid foundation to start with. I would order some dubia roaches, silk worms, horn worms and a flying insect like blue bottle flies. Give as much of a variety as you can. He may still refuse these but you are his care giver and have to be strong in what you know is right.

If you do continue to feed these insects. read sandrchameleons and ferretinmyshoes blogs on gut loading.
